Experiencing the Presence of God

For the past 15 years God has been diligently and persistently training me in the ministry of prayer. That training began with a series of messages about Jesus the Praying Man. Jesus' words in John 5: 19-20 really struck me as being most vital. He said, "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can do only what He sees His Father doing because whatever the Father does the Son does also. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. Yes, to your amazement He will show Him even greater things than these". What struck me was that if Jesus the Son did not do anything without the assured Presence and approval of the Father, then neither should believers who are children of God in Christ NOW. In I John 3:1 we read "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!" Since we are in the Presence of God, then we ought to be assured that our Father in Heaven will show us what He is doing and what He wants us to do when we seek Him.
