The author intensely loves God and the Bible. He loves to help people see the solutions to our problems in the Bible!
Consider this big problem. The Hindu leader, Gandhi, when working out his faith was strongly attracted to and complimentary of Christianity but concluded, “I could become a Christian if it weren’t for Christians!” He was literally grossed out by the massive shameful extent of unrighteous attitudes, sins and iniquities he observed in the Christians he came in contact with.Something is very, very wrong with this picture!! It goes against the very core of the Bible.
There are more than ample observations, comments, evangelists, pastors and religious survey results indicating that Christians are not following the glorious message of our Lord. The good news of the book is that by including and practicing some neglected scripture into our theology, the problems are very solvable.
These scriptures can be appropriately agonizing to the soul that is anticipating Heaven:
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:23-24,27-28
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matt. 7:21-23
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Rev. 3:15-16
These scriptures are reinforced by scores of other scriptures in this book.
