Davalynn Spencer
Author, educator and speaker Davalynn Spencer is a former award-winning journalist whose love of writing has taken her from the city crime beat and national rodeo circuit to the college classroom and inspirational publication. When she's not writing or teaching as an adjunct professor, she speaks and leads worship at women's retreats, luncheons and other events. She holds a BA in education, a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing, and has released a book of devotions for women, Always Before Me. Davalynn's inspirational work has appeared in Standard, Christian Standard, The Upper Room, The Quiet Hour (2013), and Chicken Soup for the Soul (2012). Her secular writing credits include American Cowboy magazine, Western Horseman, and Prorodeo Sports News among others. She has won twelve journalistic awards and writes the inspirational column "A Western Woman's Heart" for The Line Rider, a monthly publication of the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys, Inc. Davalynn maintains a semimonthly blog, contributes as a guest blogger for various sites, and is a freelance editor and proofreader. Her fiction is represented by Linda Glaz of Hartline Literary Agency. Davalynn is a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, The Christian PEN (Proofreaders & Editors Network), and the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. She and her husband Mike make their home on Colorado's Front Range with a Queensland heeler named Blue.
