Thaddee Matura
THADDÉE MATURA, O.F.M., is a professor of Scripture, liturgy and Franciscan spirituality who has taught in France and Canada. Considered an eminent Franciscan scholar, he has traveled around the globe to lecture, teach and lead retreats. He has written numerous books and articles on the Bible, the theology of religious life, mystics and Franciscan spirituality, including Francis of Assisi: The Message in His Writings (Franciscan Institute). He lives in France. Translator PAUL LACHANCE, O.F.M., adjunct professor of spirituality and director of the Franciscan Spirituality Program at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, is an internationally recognized specialist in Franciscan mysticism and spirituality. He is the editor and translator of the Angela of Foligno volume in the Classics of Western Spirituality (Paulist Press) series and author and translator of several books and articles on Franciscan spirituality.
