After a career in civil engineering, Simon P. Stocks trained for ministry in the Church of England at Trinity College Bristol. His doctoral thesis analyzed aspects of poetic structure in the Psalms: The Form and Function of the Tricolon in the Psalms of Ascents. Simon joined the South East Institute for Theological Education at Canterbury Christ Church University in 2011 to teach biblical studies and oversee the development of Lay Training Pathways. Simon lives in Purley, South London, where he serves as assistant priest at Christ Church, Purley.
