Sherry Carter
SHERRY CARTER's first Bible study manuscript, Storms of Life, won the 2007 Award of Excellence at the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writer's Conference. Sherry lives in Baytown, Texas, with her husband, Charles. Now that her two daughters are grown, she enjoys time with her adopted greyhounds. As part of a military family, she experienced first-hand several world cultures. Sherry began her career at M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital and later became an engineer at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. During her last few years at Johnson Space Center she experienced a series of agonizing crises. including the loss of the space shuttle Columbia and its crew and the deaths of her mother and father-in-law, After being laid off from SJC in 2006, God led her to write Storms of Faith, allowing her to share the lessons He taught her as He brought her anger and confusion to a deeper faith in Him. She combines this life experience with 30 years as a Bible study teacher to bring depth to her writing. She lives in Baytown, Texas, with her husband and an adopted greyhound.
