PATRICIA COONEY HATHAWAY is associate professor of spirituality and systematic theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. She earned a doctorate in systematic theology from the Catholic University of America. She speaks nationally on the topics of theology, spirituality, and human and spiritual adult development, and is a regular contributor to Mosaic magazine and other publications. She is married to Thomas Hathaway, and they are the parents of Thomas and Victoria.
