As Nolan studied God's Word in the course of his ministry, he found an abundance of scriptures, which taught that God has a great store of material resources for his children IN THIS LIFE. Here are some life lessons, which have come from the author's experience: (1) If you want to prosper financially, start now. Start NOW WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. (2) Be patient. Some things take time. Every farmer knows there is a period of time between planting and harvest time. (3) A large and lucrative project need not require a large sum of money. Build your project one piece at a time. Watch for this in Journey West. (4) Do not allow a large number of birthdays to stop you. Pay attention to the poem entitled "AGE." On his journey from infancy into senior years, he has given of himself, his time, and his resources to help others. His main purpose in life has been to leave the world he passes through a better place for those who follow after. Nolan became a born-again Christian at the age of fifteen. By nineteen, he knew God had called him to preach the Gospel. As you will see, preachers really do lead exciting lives. JOURNEY WEST is filled with many experiences which author Nolan Sluder uses to teach the principles of Christian living. Still very active, he has not allowed his age to deter him.
