The Wisdom of Jesus: Thirty Days of Deeper Devotion in Matthew - eBook

Follow the path to abundant life through Jesus' sermons.

Jesus traveled throughout Galilee proclaiming the good news of the arrival of the kingdom of God. He taught his disciples that they could experience abundant life in the kingdom even now by embracing the wisdom found in his teachings.

Join New Testament scholar Kenneth Schenck as he reflects deeply on wisdom of kingdom living, focusing primarily on the five sermons of Jesus found in the gospel of Matthew.

Based on the solid scholarship found in Schenck's two books, Jesus The Mission and Jesus Portraits from the Gospels, The Wisdom of Jesus provides thirty days of in-depth devotions on the Sermon on the Mount, the mission sermon, the parable sermon, the kingdom sermon, and the end times sermon. Each devotion will challenge you to engage, examine, and explore one of Jesus' sermons and then take it to God in prayer.

Kenneth Schenck is academic dean and professor of New Testament and Christian ministry at Wesley Seminary in Marion, Indiana. Dr. Schenck is the author of several books, including God's Plan Fulfilled, Paul Messenger of Grace, Paul Soldier of Peace, and Paul Prisoner of Hope.
