The Role of the Church in the Education of African American Youth

The 21st Century Challenge for the Black Church: The Education of our Youth Today…Nothing is more sustaining than knowledge. The education of youth in modern America is a very profound issue. Public schools are taxed with the responsibility of successfully teaching a diverse population of students from different backgrounds, cultures, classes, personalities, learning abilities, values, religions, and so on. At no point in history has the topic of education become more important than it is today. This book examines the needed improvement of African American educational system and the role that the black church can play in this process. Many of the youth today need hands-on attention and encouragement to become successful individuals. It is the responsibility of institutions such as the church to support the education of all children in order to ensure success. This book will explore and define the needed role of the church in the lives of all children, especially African American youth today. In a modern world, there is nothing more valuable than education.
