Streams of Civilization, Volume 1: Third Edition

Streams of Civilization Volume 1 from Christian Liberty Press is a homeschool history curriculum that covers Creation through the 1620s. Written from a Christian perspective, units take a Creationist approach; the volume begins with a discussion of how history is formed, including methods of archaeology, dating, geology, the evo lution/creation debate, and the written record. Following units cover early civilizations and kingdoms, classical Greece, Rome, Christianity, African history, the early Middle Ages, the development of European nations, the Far East, Pre-Columbian America, the Renaissance, and the Reformation.

Chapters are bright and filled with a numerous photographs, illustrations, and maps in addition to interesting side-bars. Each chapter ends with comprehension questions, project suggestions, and a list of words and concepts and people (which were bolded throughout the chapter).
