This workbook is Book 6 in the Starting Comprehension: Starting Phoneticallystrand. Designed for students who learn to read most easily through the phonetic-analytic methods, most of the featured vocabulary is structured to promote reading for meaning. Book 6 introduces vowel digraphs; "igh" words; r-controlled vowels; phonetic approximations; two- and three-syllable phonetically predictable words; compound words; inflectioned words; the inflections/suffixes "en," "er," "est," "ful," "ies"/"ied," "ly"; and some sight words such as "been," "idea," and "who."
