Patmos: Three Day, Two Men, One Extraordinary Conversation

Aiden Williams Macallan is a modern day theologian living in Brandon, Mississippi, who finds himself angry with life and on the verge of suicide.

One morning on his way to pick up the morning paper from his walkway, he finds himself transported back in history to a cave on the island of Patmos, Greece known as a Christian Pilgrmage site. He finds himself talking to an old man named John. Saint John the apostle, who as it turns out wrote the Book of Revelations.

Over a three day period they have many conversations. John asks him about history, what is going on in the present day church.  They talk about the grove, Karl Barth and "the word", John Calvin, the Creed, Freedom in the glory of Jesus, C.S. Lewis, John MacDonald, Augustine, and the Apocalypse.

John teaches him that the Holy Spirit tells us things beyond our minds and it comes to us in our dreams. When he returns home his sadness is gone. What he learned through all his tears, is to finally trust Jesus.
