Made For This: The Catholic Mom's Guide to Birth

The experience of birth stays with a woman forever. Each birth leaves an imprint on a woman's body, mind,heart, and soul. She is changed. We are complete persons, so what affects one aspect of our person affects everything else, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. God in his goodness gives expectant moms an abundance of ways to prepare their souls to enter into birth. The most important thing is for a mother to open her heart and soul to where and how God may be calling her to deepen her relationship with him during pregnancy.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: 

Mary Haseltine is a theology graduate and certified doula and childbirth educator. She has worked with women before and during their births, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support. With a passion for building a culture of life through the teachings of the Theology of the Body, she works to bring an awareness and practice of the teachings of the Church into the realm of childbirth, mothering, and pregnancy loss.
