A story of Ukraine’s tragedies through the eyes of four characters who experience the same story from different perspectives.  Maria Ivanovna a fourteen year old forced to work in a German labor camp.  Ivan Kyrilovich, survives after having been mistaken as a Jew and lined up with 34,000 others to be shot at the edge of a killing ditch.  Luda is sixteen abused by soldiers, now pregnant with the enemy’s child and then abandoned by her father.  Fredrick Hermann believes in the ideals of Nazism.
