Jack and Jill

Best friends Jack and Janey (nicknamed Jill) are inseparable. But when they are in a terrible sledding accident, their different recovery experiences test their friendship. Jack mends quickly, while Jill’s injuries are more serious. When her damaged spine keeps her bedridden for months, friends and family do their best to make time pass more quickly with songs, elaborately costumed tableaus, and frequent visits. When jealousy, unmet dreams, and growing pains challenge the friends, Jack and Jill ultimately grow stronger and closer together in this classic coming-of-age tale. 352 pages, softcover.
