The Earth Science & Astronomy for the Logic Stage Teacher Guide includes 36 weeks of instruction (7 units) that cover: Space, our Solar System, Astronomers & their tools, Geology, Climate, Weather, Rivers and Oceans. Based on a classical science education methodology, this manual is designed to give teachers the tools needed to help middle-school students explore Earth Science and Astronomical topics through hands-on inquiry, information, writing, and a science project.
This teacher's guide includes weekly student assignment lists, which clearly lay out what students are to complete for their experiment, sketch, vocabulary & memory work, writing, and date-work. Pre-labeled sketches and teacher-led discussion questions are provided along with unit tests and a year-end test (with answer keys). Information is also given for each experiment, including explanations of the expected results. Two schedules---one 2-days-per-week and one 5-days-per week---are also provided.
The Earth Science & Astronomy for the Logic Stage student workbook is sold-separately and is necessary to complete the program, as it contains the student forms.
