Do the True You: Stop Faking It for Others and Find Out Who God Says You Are

You Were Made to Stand Out, Not Fit In.

Trying to be who everyone else tells you to be is exhausting. Smiling when you’re struggling. Pretending you’re fine when you’re falling apart. Wondering if you’ll ever feel like you’re enough.

But God didn’t create you to act like someone you’re not. He created you to be authentically, boldly you—to grow into the vision He has for you and the talents and gifts He put into you.

That’s the true you.

In Do the True You, author and pastor Steven Furtick shares six mindsets that will help you get from who you are today to where God is taking you. Based on his New York Times bestselling book and completely rewritten for teens and young adults, these practical, memorable mindsets include:

• I’m not stuck unless I stop.

• Christ is in me. I am enough.

• With God there's always a way and by faith I will find it.

• God is not against me, but he's in it with me, working through me, fighting for me.

• My joy is my job.

• God has given me everything I need for the season I’m in.

God isn’t asking you to be a fake you, a limited you, an old you. He’s inviting you to step into a version of yourself that He has always known—because He’s the one who created it.

Let His version of you become your vision for you.

That’s how you do the true you.
