El deseo del cristiano de crecer en su fe es hermoso y bíblico, y se ilustra muy bien en Jeremías 17 donde la Escritura describe: "Bendito el varón que confía en Jehová"  al ser "como el árbol plantado junto a las aguas… en el año de sequía no se fatigará, ni dejará de dar fruto". (RVR1960) Pero, ¿cómo crecen realmente las personas? Discipulado Transformador describe el proceso que trae a la vida a ese tipo de persona descrita en la Biblia. Existirá crecimiento, pero no gracias a nuestra investigación, sino por el poder de la palabra de Dios y el Espíritu Santo que trabaja a través de la iglesia (de la misma forma que siempre los discípulos han sido creados). Cuando el pueblo de Dios se une en la misión de Dios a través del Espíritu santo, las vidas se transforman.

A Christian’s desire to grow in faith is beautiful and biblical, best illustrated in Jeremiah 17 where Scripture describes "The man who trusts in the LORD" as being "like a tree planted by water . . . It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit."
