Creating Monsters: Finding Fame In Jesus' Name

We all have a monster (the flesh) that resides in us thanks to the fall of
Adam and Eve. The monster lurks within pretending to be one with our
human soul. It hides in the shadows hoping to go unnoticed until the
opportune time to launch its attack. Posing as the answer to the perfect
life, the monster lures us in to feed it. One's decision 'to feed' or 'not to
feed' determines the fate or survival of the monster.

Creating Monsters is written from the perspective of music industry
veteran, Keith Stancil. Working with Christian artists who are pursuing
careers on a platform presents tension as the platform has the potential
to bring fame. The book explores what the Bible has to say about the
potential dangers that fame brings including greed, envy, entitlement,
financial responsibility, and commitments. Keith shares his experiences
in both the mainstream music industry and Christian music industry to
illustrate the dangers while offering biblical solutions to help avoid the
pitfalls.
