Contemporary Worship: Thinking About Its Implications for the Church

According to the Apostle Paul, 'knowledge and all discernment' are characteristic marks of true Christian love. They are essential if a Christian is to be able to 'approve what is excellent' (Phil. 1:9-10). This ability to know, discern, and approve what is excellent is of particular relevance in any consideration of the Contemporary Worship Movement, a movement which has transformed the services of so many churches across the world.

In this booklet Terry Johnson's aim is to help the reader think carefully about the content and forms of the worship typically associated with this movement, and of their implications for the health and spiritual vitality of the church.
