oot Camp for the Christian Soldier is a study course for the Christian who wants to grow. This course is designed to familiarize you with the Bible and to teach you the basics of being a Christian. This course is structured so that you can start learning with the first lesson. Each lesson stands alone; therefore you can study any lesson as preferred. The title for this course, Boot Camp for the Christian Soldier, may stir you to wonder why this title is given to this course. The reason is based on Ephesians 6:10-12, where the Bible tells us that we are in a spiritual war and we are to prepare to fight as soldiers. Before we can become skilled at spiritual warfare, we must get the basics of being a Christian warrior. In the military of any country, all the soldiers complete boot camp before being placed into advanced weapon's study and use, or before war tactics are presented. The purpose of this course is to give you, the Christian soldier, the basics and prepare you for advanced studies in all weapons and tactics available to you as a soldier of the Cross. Dr. Gene Tapley is a well-known professor, bible scholar, interim pastor and guest speaker in many churches. He has been a busy seminar leader, writer, and Christian consultant. His background in biblical teaching and seminars span more than 29 years in the Southeast United States, Australia, Brazil and New Zealand. Classes and seminars have included the following topics: prayer, the Holy Spirit, brokenness, grace, faith, discipleship, marriage, preachers and preaching, Christian ethics and church administration. His most recent work is Boot Camp for the Christian Soldier. Dr. Tapley and his wife live in Chattanooga, TN. They have 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
