La Biblia de las Américas (LBLA) is a new translation of the Scriptures from the original languages completed in 1986 by a team of Latin American evangelical Bible scholars. The LBLA is an original work translated from the Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek directly into modern Spanish that presents the Word of God in a clear and flowing style while stricly adhering to the Hebrew and Greek texts. It follows the same principles of translation set by the NASB.

On the other hand, since its completion in 1971, the New American Standard Bible has been widely embraced as "the most literally accurate English translation" from the original languages. In 1995 the NASB was updated, increasing clarity and readability.
