John C. Hoogeveen III

Since the first day of committing his life to serve Jesus, his life has been radical. After leaving his job in 2011, John was led to do a prayer walk from West Michigan to Washington D.C. to pray for the president. His first book, If My Shoes Could Talk, was published in 2013 and chronicles this journey. John begin his educational journey that same year. He graduated with his BA in evangelism in 2018 and MA in Global Studies in 2021 from Liberty University. The following year, 2014, John and his family moved to Puerto Rico to serve the Lord throughout the Caribbean. After being relocated as a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, they moved back to Puerto Rico in 2019, only to be relocated again due to Covid-19 in 2020. This brought John's family to Tennessee where he took a student pastor position, only to be let go for teaching and living out the biblical church, which his book Awakening The Sleeping Giant: Church Re-Discovered lays out. John is now on a journey pursuing a Ph.D. in communication with an emphasis on culture and media.
As an author whose writing resembles his talk and comes from his heart and passion for the gospel, Jonh's books are intriguing, compelling, and often challenge the status quo, attempting to answer questions that are mostly ignored by the majority. His writing is deep, yet easy to read because he writes and publishes his books how he would want to read them. There is more to come from this up-and-coming Author who is not afraid to rattle cages, ruffle feathers, and go against the cultural grain if doing so will bring glory to God and expand the Church.
