Giving Hope An Address: The Teen Challenge Legacy Story

Two Brothers, One Calling, and a Lasting Legacy.

For sixty years, the faith-based ministry of Teen Challenge has been bringing hope to those bound by drug and life-controlling addictions.  Since the very first Teen Challenge Center opened its doors in Brooklyn, New York the ministry has grown to 1,400 Centers across 122 nations. Through the doors of every Teen Challenge program, there are testimonies of men and women who have walked out cured because of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. The remarkable legacy of Teen Challenge began with the family story of two brothers named David and Don Wilkerson. Much has been written about Teen Challenge and its success in treating addiction.  But there has never been a book that told the unique story of these two ordinary brothers and their relationship to the founding of the Teen Challenge ministry.  

This book is a timely reminder of what God continues to do through faith-based rehabilitation programs like Teen Challenge-saving lives from the destruction of drugs. This faith story exemplifies what it means to be a follower of Christ; to love the broken-hearted and share the gospel of Jesus Christ bringing light into the darkness (John 12:46). It reveals how God's calling on the lives of two brothers leads to many other life-changing stories. The spiritual battle against addiction can still be won. This story of Teen Challenge and its legacy proves it.
