Steve Gaines serves as the senior pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, and as the president of the Southern Baptist Convention. Over the past thirty years he has served as the senior pastor of four churches. He holds a PhD in preaching from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Steve is married to Donna Gaines, and they have four children.
