The first four chapters of the Bible narrate the first couple, birth, and murder. Recognizing the centrality of gender, sexuality, and violence in the biblical text and the modern world, Pregnant Passion explores their intersection, with themes spanning the realms of feasts and famines, betrayal and bloodshed, seduction and sensuality, power and politics, virtue and violence.
