Mercer Commentary on the Bible, Volume 3: Wisdom Writings

Volume 3 of the Mercer Commentary on the Bible (MCB) comprises commentaries on the (Wisdom) writings of Old Testament/Hebrew Bible – that is, on the books of Job – Song of Songs – plus certain appropriate articles from the Mercer Dictionary of the Bible (MDB). This convenient text is for the classroom and for anyone who wished to focus on the study of these ancient "wisdom" writings. Other volumes in the series focus on other appropriate groups of canonical writings (Pentateuch, Gospels, and so forth; see page vii for a complete listing). Each volume contains MCB commentaries and appropriate articles from MDB.
