Gabe Jones—an underwater investigative diver with an unusual gift—has away of finding trouble.

When Gabe and a US senator with an antidrug agenda become a problem for a Mexican drug cartel, they find their loved ones in harm’s way. Desperate not to lose any more shipments into the US, the cartel abducts Paul, Gabe’s late partner’s son, and the senator’s three grandchildren to use as leverage for their shipments.

In the course of his investigation, Gabe examines an underwater plane crash that reveals just how serious the cartel is. Realizing that he has to break the rules, Gabe joins Paul’s grandfather in accepting an invitation from the cartel to pick up a drug shipment in Mexico. But they have a plan.

Can they safely rescue the hostages and carry out their ultimate goal: to bring down the entire organization without government assistance?
