Este Comentario bíblico contemporáneo es un sueño que se ha hecho realidad. Fue un sueño que tuvieron varias personas que, aunque representaban diferentes ministerios cristianos y trasfondos culturales, compartían tres convicciones teológicas básicas:

Que Dios se reveló por medio de Jesucristo, la Palabra viva, y esa revelación ha sido consignada en las Sagradas Escrituras para servir como la autoridad normativa en todo lo relativo a la fe y la conducta cristianas.Que el Espíritu Santo usa la Biblia a nivel personal y comunitario con el propósito de dar a conocer la voluntad de Dios para la vida humana en todos sus aspectos y para la totalidad de la creación.Que para que la Biblia cumpla su propósito es necesario leerla, estudiarla e interpretarla en espíritu de oración, hacienda uso de los principios de exégesis y hermenéutica, incluyendo no sólo la investigación del contexto histórico de los escritos bíblicos sino también el contexto histórico donde hoy se realiza su interpretación.

This contemporary Bible commentary is a dream that has come true. It was a dream that had several people who, although representing different Christian ministries and cultural backgrounds, shared three basic theological convictions:

That God revealed himself through Jesus Christ, the living Word, and that revelation has been recorded in the Sacred Scriptures to serve as the normative authority in everything related to Christian faith and conduct.That the Holy Spirit uses the Bible on a personal and community level with the purpose of making known the will of God for human life in all its aspects and for the totality of creation.That for the Bible to fulfill its purpose it is necessary to read it, study it and interpret it in a spirit of prayer, making use of the principles of exegesis and hermeneutics, including not only the investigation of the historical context of the biblical writings but also the historical context where today performs its interpretation.
