Reading Paired Text, Grade 1

Help students master reading paired texts with seven units that cover grade-appropriate science and social studies topics. Each unit contains two related reading selections in a minibook format. The themes reflect first-grade science and social studies topics and are focused around a Big Question. For example, the Big Question "Can I live without my bones?" connects to the non-fiction article "How Bones Work" and fictional story "Jacob's Bones."
