G.U.M.drops Grade 6

The G.U.M Drops (Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics) workbook series is designed to be used as a daily language arts supplement with a strong focus on editing. Each book covers 18 weeks of instruction (one semester).

Students edit passages from classic literature that have been appropriately leveled, abridged, and/or summarized for each grade. Worksheets covering each rule or concept, which often integrate practice exercises such as sentence completions, are provided before students are expected to edit.

This Grade 6 workbook includes 90 worksheets that parts of speech, punctuation, and usage including easily confused words, modifiers, and sentence combining. Adapted passages are based on Anne of Green Gables, A Christmas Carol, The Red Badge of Courage, and more.
