Four Square: Writing Method Early Learner

The Four-Square writing method is an innovative approach that gives kids a clear path to learning and using foundational writing skills. Prewriting and organization skills are taught through the four-square graphic organizer, which is later employed to focus writing, provide detail, and enhance word choice-and can be used across applicable to multiple writing forms, such as descriptive and informational writing.

Four levels are included:

Level 1: pictures are used to represent ideas in the Four Square Level 2: Students trace written words Level 3: Students copy written words Level 4: Students who are beginning to write words can use these to organize their ideas
