BJU Press Reading 2C Student Text (3rd Edition)

Reading 2C: Memories to Keep is the third in a series of four readers in the BJU Press Reading 2 curriculum (each reader is sold-separately). Engaging artwork changes with each story and provides visual interest for early readers.

Before some selections, an easy-to-understand page introduces relevant literary elements or background information; for example, children might learn about how prices change over time before reading a story about Betsy Ross. "Think as you Read" questions give students a focus to keep in mind as they read through the selection.

The story is followed by a "Think and Discuss" section that features discussion questions and new vocabulary; "Look Again" sections that provide an additional activity or question are also included after some passages.

Interesting and developmentally-appropriate selections come from a variety of sources, including realistic and historical fiction, fables, folktales, Bible accounts, biography, drama, and poetry. Chapters progress in difficulty and are sequenced for readability and skill progression.
