A Reason for Guided Reading Parent Resource Guide

The Advantage Guided Reading: Homeschool Edition Parent Resource Guide features 64 lesson plans and 64 activity sheets designed to be used with the 64 Leveled Scripture Stories in the "A Reason for Guided Reading" series (readers are sold-separately and are not included).

Lesson plans are designed to take place over two days and include a book introduction with scripted questions, first reading instructions for teachers, a mini-lesson, a writing activity, conversation starter, and enrichment activity. The back of the page features a student activity page with response scales for kids to report how they liked the book, a connection exercise, and writing enrichment activity.

A section of assessment activities in the back of the book contains charts to track progress in naming letters, print concepts, fluency, and developmental stages. A section with games and learning aids is also provided.
