Why should we pray?

If you want to build a solid relationship, you have to communicate—and this is no less true in our relationship with God. We need prayer, but sometimes we get so caught up in what and how to pray that we lose sight of its purpose. Prayer is simply our authentic conversation with God. No one modeled this better than Jesus. Throughout this devotional, we’ll see how Jesus answers the request, "Lord, teach us to pray" over and over in Scripture. And as we study, may our hearts remember what a gift it is to have this unlimited access to the Father.
