A Wrinkle in Time: Instructional Guides for Literature, Gr 4-8

Teaching literature doesn't have to be difficult!

The "Great Works Instructional Guides for Literature" series from Shell Education features lessons and activities that work in conjunction with the text to help students learn how to comprehend complex literature. Each book features a detailed explanation of each worksheet section and how to best use this guide in the classroom, as well as notes on standards correlations. An author biography and book summary are also provided before the student worksheets.

Worksheets cover 2-3 chapters at a time, and include exercises focusing on the theme, vocabulary, literary analysis, "close reading," cross-curricular activities, "reader responses" (taught through thoughtful writing assignments), and more. Post-reading activities provide a convenient wrap-up to the unit.
